Dare Greatly with Jia Collection, Cadillac, and IvyConnect
On March 31st, Jia Li, our founder and designer, was invited to an exclusive event through Cadillac: The World Premiere of the First-Ever Cadillac CT6. It may seem odd that a fashion designer would be so intrigued by a new car design, but we actually found some unique parallels behind the design of the CT6 and our mission here at Jia Collection.
Jia was originally invited to this Cadillac event because of her involvement with the Ivy Innovators Awards. Last year, Jia Li was selected as one of the five finalists for the design category for the Ivy Innovator Awards for her unique designs and innovative thinking.
IvyConnect, a members-only network of business leaders, created these awards to discover and support the next generation of big thinkers. Within the three different categories of technology, film, and design, each applicant is assessed based on:
- Potential to impact their field of choice
- Expansiveness of personal vision
- Uniqueness of innovative endeavors
- Approach to creativity and innovation
- Dedication to building life-long collaborative bonds
You may wonder why Cadillac is so invested in these awards and with this network in general. The answer is very simple: Cadillac also values innovation, creativity, and collaboration. As a fashion design company who is on the forefront of innovating completely new designs that foster creativity and are for all the female movers and shakers out there, this concept was right up our alley.
We adore the Cadillac CT6 for the same reasons why the Ivy Innovator Awards chose our company as a finalist: we love exciting and original ideas that can change the world for the better. The CT6 is all about reinventing how drivers view comfort and convenience in luxury cars, just as our designs aim to keep you comfortable and simplify fashion, while still being chic. The combination of unique design with new technology makes this a car one we can definitely be enthusiastic about, even if we are not in the automotive industry.
